Horror movies not what they used to be?!
Question: Horror movies not what they used to be!?
is it just me or are horror movies these days not what they used to be!? I mean they either have way too many "jump" moments, are more disgusting/violent than scary, just want shock value, or are plain not scary!. and what's with all the remakes!?!? i mean i know alot of ppl are prolly gonna tell me otherwise but in my opinion movies like The Ring, The Grudge, One Missed Call, Saw,etc are just really not as scary as ppl make them out to be!. and remember this is of course my opinion i was just wondering if anyone else kinda felt the same way!? and if anyone could please suggest some REALLY good ones that are rarely mentioned i would greatly appreciate it!! ^_^Www@Enter-QA@Com

Let me see; a few Johnny Depp movies come to mind!. Have you seen "Nick of Time"!? "Sleepy Hollow"!? I, too, HATE a horror flick with NO plot! "The Brothers Grimm" is another good film with some suspense, some violence, but very engaging! Yes, I agree, there are too many horror films out there with too much gore and no teeth, so to speak =;)!Www@Enter-QA@Com
yeah, i think it does scare you little but you get frights instead of actually getting scared!.
I personally like thriller movies better, u think since they're more realistic they scare you more like When a Stranger Calls (great movie btw!) and Disturbia was pretty good too!.
Some good scary movies are:
The Grudge (I know u mentioned that btw!)
Signs (I kno its rated M but honestly i did give me a good scare)
The Blair Witch Project

Well I don't know any recent good horror movies The Ring, but old movies like 'Exorcist' and 'Exorcism of Emily Rose' are good!. But whatever you do, if you are looking for good horror movies, do NOT watch 'Scary Movie' series and '30 days of night'!. They are pathetic!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
