Definitely scary!. Back when I saw it, when it first hit the theaters, it was known as the scariest movie in memory!.

Now that I'm 18 years old!.!.!.!.hell no!.!.!.but I first saw Poltergeist when I was about 8 or 9 and I was really scared and couldn't sleep for days after watching it!. It was my first horror movie I ever saw!. Now when I watched it, it still had an effect, but I didn't have nightmares after watching it the second time!.
I think some people will think that its really scary!. My friend who is 20 saw it and freaked out, she has this habit of thinking what it would be like if that really happened in her house and she was scared for days!. Me, I'm not scared of it now, 10 years later!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It depends how old you are and whether you're prone to getting scared at horror films!.
It is quite an old film now but is nonetheless one of the classics now!. Some special effects are a little dated maybe but ultimately it is a superb film!.
Would definitely recommend it, and number 2 - 3's not so good!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Not really!. In today's day and age the special effects are a little lame!. The only thing that scared me was when I watched it, just after the "they're here!!" scene when the TV goes fuzzy!.!.!. my TV went fuzzy!! My friends refuse to watch horror movies at my place again!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
