How's this for the premise of a movie?!
Question: How's this for the premise of a movie!?
Okay, there's this group of friends who are down on their luck, broke, and owe the mafia money!. So, one day they see a drug dealer trying to sell drugs to a kid and they decide to beat him up!. They accidentally kill the dealer, take his money and then they decide that they're going to keep robbing dealers and bookies!. A crime boss decides to send some thugs to take care of the problem, but the group disposes of the thugs not knowing that one of the thugs was an undercover cop!. That sparks an F!.B!.I!. investigation and everything spirals out of control until theres one man left to tell the story!. How's that sound!? I know it needs a little work but that's the basic premise!. I'm making an independent film!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

That is not too shabby!. If you go from the angle of a group of innocent people spiraling out of control as a result of one bad situtation then it might work out!. The trick is you have to make the audience go from feeling sorry for these people to hating them and then back to feeling sorry for them!.
The FBI thing might work better if there were two undercover cops and one was killed!. The other decides to take out a vendetta!.
I would avoid actually calling your organized people mafia!. That is kind of cliche and it is so easy to over do it!. Organized crime can come from many different sources without having to involve the mafia!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

why do they need to owe money to the mafia initially!? I like it better if they're clean from the start, and if the drug dealer starts the fight with them (for whatever reason)!.

yeh it sounds a little rough around the edges, and like you're hyper on suger and caffiene, but as long as you have some assassin/sniper shots in there [maybe of the FBI trying to take them or the Mafia etc down] i'd watch it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I like it, almost sounds like a combination of Boondock Saints and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels!. Wish I could be a part of the movie! I'd love to play as one of the friends!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
