It was an example of minimalism!.
Recent movies to have used minimalism successfully (they all got an Oscar for something) were: The Assassination of Jesse James; There Will Be Blood; War of the Worlds (Speilberg version) and Signs!.
Unfortunately they all were lame examples of minimalism!.
The only true artist who could use the minimalist technique to make something truly profound and classic, almost religious, was the late Stanley Kubrick and his: 2001: A Space Odyssey!. This minimalist 1968 movie was truly ahead of its time and very profound!.
Otherwise if you can't pull of all the complexities and subtleties of the minimalist technique, you will end up with a lamo long dull banal boring movie like No Country for Old Men!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The movie didn't fall apart from the beginning!.!.!.it just didn't have a ending!. Everything pretty much stays the same after two hours!. The bad guy is still on the loose, the old cop is still a old cop, and there are still a lot of people dead!. Thanks for wasting my time, Cohan Brothers!. When you find the last reel of the film, let me know, I'd like to know how it ended!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
i thought it was exceptionally good, although i hated it that the good people were killed!. in a way, it's like those hannibal lector movies!. you just can't believe the bad guy is that crazy, that evil, and that skilled!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
