I certainly do, my husband could not believe how much I liked them when we met as he could not watch them with a bunch of people and I could watch them totally alone and go to bed alone: Hellraiser, Evil Dead, Re-animator, Nightmare on Elmstreet!. In the 80's we used to have parties at someone's parents house when they were away and we always watch Horror Films, like Halloween, Friday 13th, The Shining, Dawn of the Dead etc!.
I think films do have to go to a bit more of an extreme now to pack a punch as we are less easily shocked!.
I really enjoyed the Scream franchise because they poked fun at films I had grown up with and I didn't mind!. (The lines like "we shouldn't split up, people always die in the movies when they split up")Www@Enter-QA@Com

As you get older i think horror movies lose their effect!.
also all the shock tactics have been done before so you generally know what's coming!.
The best' horror' scenes I think , are the ones that show aspects of real human cruelty!. One that comes to mind is the camp commandant (played by Ralph Fiennes) in Schindler's List!. That was chilling!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

You are making an assumption!. Many people enjoy a good horror flick and many people do not like or want to watch this type of movie!. My daughter loves them!. I on the other hand find it difficult to view them!.!. There are enough real horrors and tragedy today that I don't need to watch it, but that is a choice and you are generalizing when you make such comments!. Sometimes it may hit to close to home or just to graphic whatever the reason you have a choice to watch or not!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I dont know I dont like them, if I watch themm I generally wake up in the middle of the night with a big spider or something crawling on me!. I know people that do!. What gets me with them thriller movies they always end and you dont know whats going to happen next- probably so they can make another movie to follow!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Depends what horror, alot of modern horror movies like SAW, Hostel you'll probably find alot of the general public do watch but not as much as the comedy genre!.
I guess more people like to laugh than be scared!.

Many horror movies are very formulaic and cliche!. This predictability kind of kills the horror effect!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
