Star Wars: The Clone Wars? WTH?!

Question: Star Wars: The Clone Wars!? WTH!?
This new movie coming out, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, seems to be a stupid movie, and a waste of time for Lucas i might add!.

Why doesnt he, istead of making a wierdly shown animated star wars, finish the Star Wars legacy and make the last episode of the Star Wars series!? I mean its the only one he hasnt done, and would complete the saga!.

But no, we are going to go back in time, to the clone wars, in a weird half clay-half animation movie!.

Anyone else think that this wont be the next blockbuster!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
While I have no doubts that this movie will NOT be the next blockbuster movie I am also looking forward to seeing it!. Stupid and waste of time are two terms I would not associate with George Lucas!.

I don't understand your statement: "in a weird half clay-half animation movie" !.!.!. have you seen the trailers or any of the other stuff that has come out !? If not here are a few links to the trailers and info that has come out so far:

As I said before I don't think this is going to be some monster hit like ep 1 - 6 were but I still see many of us die-hard fans flocking to the theaters on August 15th to see what Lucas has made for us this time!. This movie will also be a kick off to the new Clone Wars series that is set to debut on the Cartoon Network this fall!. The main purpose of this movie is to show fans more about the Clone wars and all the battles that we have never known about!. It already has a very interesting "twist" to it as we get to see Anakin training his first, and last, padawan learner !.!.!. yeah, Anakin will have an apprentice in this movie and TV series!.

Lucas is also working on a live action TV series set in between ep III & ep IV that will chronicle the formation of the Rebel Alliance and show their early battles with the Empire leading up to the events of ep IV!. It's pretty much set in stone that this will be the last "live action" story we see for Star Wars!. It was to have debuted in the fall of 2009 but the writer's strike and various other things have pushed that back to the fall of 2010!.

"Why doesnt he, istead of making a wierdly shown animated star wars, finish the Star Wars legacy and make the last episode of the Star Wars series!? I mean its the only one he hasnt done, and would complete the saga!."

The saga IS complete!. Here's a little background info that you may not know!. When Lucas first came up with the idea for "Star Wars" he envisioned it as a 12 part story that would be told in a similar fashion as the old Flash Gordon series!. It didn't take him long to realize it wouldn't work that way so it got cut down to a 9 part story!. The first trilogy was to be about the rise and fall of Anakin Skywalker!. The second trilogy was to be about the rise of Luke Skywalker and the redemption of Anakin Skywalker!. The third trilogy was to be about the "other" Skywalker that Yoda mentions in The Empire Strikes Back!.

A little known fact is that up until Lucas was almost done writing the script for ep VI Leia was NOT the "other Skywalker"!. Lucas got stumped on what he could have Vader say to Luke near the end of their duel that would make Luke attack his father in a dark side fueled rage!. To solve this problem he made Leia the "other Skywalker" and had Vader threaten her!. This change did two things: 1) Made a lot of fans go "eewwww" !.!.!. he kissed his sister on the lips; 2) It eliminated the third trilogy!. Lucas has many times stated that the story he wanted to tell has been told!. If you watch the "extras" disk that comes with the DVD set of the OT you hear him say this many times!. He says it in a 60Minutes interview he did shortly after the release of ep III!. In that interview he is asked two or three times if there will be anymore new movies and if he would let someone else pick up where he left off and make more movies !.!.!. his answer each time is that same !.!.!. NO!. History has showed us that Lucas changes his mind with the wind direction sometimes and a statement made over 2 years ago is suspect except for one thing !.!.!. his answer has never changed !.!.!. it is always a flat out NO!. If you think about it it is a big accomplishment for the man!.

In the end I'm really not trying to change your mind !.!.!. well, maybe a little !.!.!. lol !.!.!. and you have every right to your own opinion just as I do mine but I thought a little more knowledge on the subject would fill in the gaps for you!.

May The Force Be With You !.!.!.

To Darth Eugene: I know you think I'm a jerk but I do give credit where it is deserved and your answer to the "If Obi-Wan had been killed on Mustafar" was beyond awesome !.!.!. great job!.
