Star Wars: The Clone Wars?!

Question: Star Wars: The Clone Wars!?
Where does "The Clone Wars" fit in in the Star Wars Time line!? Obviously Anakin is still alive in the trailer, is it set between episode 2 and 3!? Why didn't Lucas include this in the movies!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
It is set between ep II & ep III!. Lucas didn't put in the movies because it would have made the movie too long and it wasn't needed in the context of ep III!. If you watched the Clone Wars series on the Cartoon Network during the run up to ep III it is set after the 21st "episode" of that series!. Has to be because that is when Anakin was elevated to the rank of Jedi Knight!. Anakin also has a padawan learner in the movie and series!. The main reason he is making this animated movie and series is because there are a ton of stories that can be done about the Clone Wars since in the movies we only see the beginning of the Clone Wars and the ending of the Clone Wars!. This movie and series will fill in the gaps and show some of the major battles that happened during the Clone Wars!. Here's a couple links to trailers and info on the movie and series:

Lucas is also working on a live action TV series that will be set in between ep III & ep IV!. This series will show how the Rebel Alliance was formed and their early battles against the Empire leading up to the events of ep IV!. This series was set to debut in the fall of 2009 but the writer's strike and other things has bumped the debut back to 2010!.

As far as why it wasn't included inthe movies, it would all be speculation!. I would think because there just wasn't even time to include it b/c the movies are already 3 hours long!. also, from a business standpoint, its a way to get you to shell out money for another movie ticket, then another DVD, etc!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The clone wars is set between the second and third movies!.
