Question: Whats cooler, Science Fiction or Fantasy!?

Depends on my mood!.!. today I'd be more into Fantasy!.!. yesterday Sci Fi!.!. it also depends on if you mean books or movies!.!. (since this is in movies I'll guess that's what you mean, but enough people put questions in the wrong place for me to wonder) Sci Fi movies are easier to do better these days!.!. with the graphics and special effects making it easier!.!. Fantasy is hard to do well, because much of it takes place in the past!.!. it's hard to mix special effect AND historic elements!. With books, Fantasy tends to make me feel like I'm in another place/time!.!. Sci fi CAN be bogged down by the details if not done well!.!. (For example some of the Honor Harrington books feel this way!.!. overall they were good, but there were chapters where all I wanted to do was skip ahead)
In both movies AND books I prefer a combination of the two!.!. where the books tend to be a blend of Sci/Fi and Fantasy !.!. (like when Mercedes Lackey and Andre Norton worked together)Www@Enter-QA@Com

SciFi sometimes has a cool factor, that future-hip technocracy element!. But the Renfaire hotties go for fantasy geeks!.!.!.!.

Fantasy has Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Narnia!.
SciFi has the Matrix, Firefly, The new Battlestar Galactica, and Milla Jovovich in the Fifth Element!.
We'll even disqualify Kate Beckinsale in Underworld, which was a sci-fi twist on fantasy/horror!.

Fantasy, with the Sci-Fi channel pumping out horrible movie after horrible movie, it has to be fantasy!. Usually the special effects in a fantasy movie are unbelievable, Sci-fi, thanks to the Sci-fi channel, are really bad!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Definitely fantasy, in fact, its also my favorite genre for fiction too!.
