Question: After dark horrorfest!?
how do you think these movies compare with mainstream horror movies!?
i see most of the mainstream horror movies out there, ie: the saw series, hostel 1 & 2, the new halloween, etcetera, and i was wondering if anyone else thinks the afterdark films are more shocking and brutal!? i just watched Frontier, the french version of hostel basically, and it was much better, in my opinion!. what do you guys think!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think that horrorfest movies can be more scary than the more mainstream movies!.I just watched Unrest and it scared the heck out of me!It was so dark and mysterious!.I actually realized that low buget movies are usually better than the movies with huge sponsors like Liongate or Paramount!.And not only in scary movies!.Napoleon Dynamite was halarious and it was not a super expensive $5,000,000 movie!.What i'm saying is that low buget writers are more creative than writers that are paid millions and millions of dollars!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Well personally I think of them all differently!. Sadly I haven't seen this years set, only last years!. But the first movie I saw, Gravedancers, was horribly done but hilarious since it was so bad!. The Abandoned however, was the exact opposite!. I thought it was extremely well written and amazingly original!.
I can't compare them to other movies because I can't think of any that are the same but I think I like horrorfest movies better than mainstream ones!. Horrorfest movies make you think and actually are disturbing where as mainstream movies are a cheap thrill that bore me to death!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Sorry dude, but I haven't seen any of those horror films!. I just get so tired of seeing all those kids dying at such a young age and I find it depressing and I hate it that the girl ALWAYS lives at the end!. I would rather see the sole survivor be the guy!. After seeing the new movies Freddy vs!. Jason and the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre both in 2004, that was the last straw!. I like action, adventure, and comedies, though, and I hate romantic comedies!.

I seen all the previous horror fest and I am starting to see the ones for this year, I like them although you cant compare them because with after dark they have more freedom to explore and take risks which is what I like about them because of its originality!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The ones I saw were far worse than most recent mainstream horror movies (and I'm not wild about a lot of them)!.

i certainly don't think they are better than mainstream horror!. however, they are allowing for more horror to be released at the movie houses!. that's always a plus!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
