Liv Tyler was asked about the film and she said so herself that when she was making the film they told her that it was based on The Manson murders!.
The film claims to be based on true events, but there is no single documented case upon which it is based!. However, the story does contain elements that bear a resemblance to the real life Manson murders that took place in 1969, the still-unsolved Keddie resort murders that took place in California in 1981, as well as the family-murder case of Jeffrey R!. MacDonald, among various home-invasions that have taken place in history!.
if you watch the new released trailer, you see the scene where Liv tyler crawls across a floor, some speculated it was referring to sharon tate, but!.!.!.
The woman that met her demise crawling across the yard was actually not Sharon Tate, but Abigail Anne Folger!. She was the one reading a book in her bedroom, & waved to one of them passing by, thinking they were a guest of Sharon Tate!. Folger was a dark haired girl as well!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
