Answers:
Fright Film Fan is correct, it certainly sounds like Hershel Gordon Lewis' "Two Thousand Maniacs!." Lewis' film is one of the first drive-in movies to feature gory effects as a principle draw, and such effects were very unusual in the middle of the sixties; it would have been amazing if "Two Thousand Maniacs" didn't scare her!. What is a little more amazing is that Lewis also had the nerve to steal major plot elements from "Brigadoon!."

The film should be easy to find!. As long as you're going to watch "Two Thousand Maniacs," you may as well watch Lewis' thematically related "Blood Feast," which is also a historically significant drive-in movie!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

!.!.!.sounds very much like the outrageously gruesome 1964 horror shocker, "Two-Thousand Maniacs"!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
