Question: Does anyone else think "Dan in Real Life" is one of the worst movies ever made!?
I watched this movie last night and it seriously annoyed me how extremely AWFUL it was, especially because Steve Carrel is in it!. I can handle stupid movies!. This movie was beyond "stupid movie"!. It got worse with every scene!!! From the lame games that the family plays (Seriously, an impromptu game of hide and go seek!? Competitive crossword puzzling!?) to the dance-off between the two couples at the bar, I pretty much am insulted by this disgrace of a film!. Does anyone else agree!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

While I think it is far from "one of the worst movies ever made" I too was very frustrated by Steve Carrel’s performance!. I think it was lacking in comedy and was trying too hard to be intelligent and dramatic when all it really needed was to relax and play off of Carrel’s natural comedic talent (which it never did!)!. I also thought it was exceedingly dull and pretty much every character got on my nerves in one way or another- especially "Dan" who throughout most of the movie just came off as a d**che!.

I actually really liked it!. I don't think the game of hide-and-seek was impromptu, and so what with the hide and seek!? Some families have traditions!. My relatives play croquet every time we get together, rain or shine!. Does that make us as horrible as this movie!?
