There is an old movie about a man who falls in love with a woman!. And only until the end it is a boy!? I cant seem to remember the name!.!.!.also I remember the "woman" that the man was in love with was like black and white (or hispanic) i dont remember!.!.!.I know the scene shows the "woman" revealing her true self to the man and he gets really upset but is confused on what to do!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

An unlikely kind of friendship develops between Fergus (Stephen Rea), an Irish Republican Army volunteer, and Jody (Forest Whitaker), a kidnapped British soldier lured into an IRA trap by Jude (Miranda Richardson), another IRA member!. When the hostage-taking ends up going horribly wrong, Fergus escapes and heads to London, where he seeks out Jody's lover (Jaye Davidson), a nightclub singer/hairdresser named Dil!. Fergus adopts the name "Jimmy" and gets a job as a day laborer!. He also starts seeing Dil, who knows nothing about Fergus' IRA background!. But there is something about Dil that Fergus doesn't know either!.
TRIVIA:
The film was turned down by all the studios because they thought "the twist" in the film would turn viewers off; in fact it became why many went to the movie!. It was shot on such a shoestring budget that it actually came very close to running out of funds!.
The film gets its title from a 1960s hit British pop song!.
The casting of Dil proved extremely difficult for the filmmakers (Stanley Kubrick had at one point warned Neil Jordan the role was probably uncastable) until casting director Susie Figgis received a tip-off from director Derek Jarman about Jaye Davidson, who later was "discovered" by the film's casting agents at a wrap party for Jarman's film "Edward II" (1991)!. Davidson was offered the opportunity to try out for the role but was not particularly enthusiastic, thinking it was a joke!. Eventually, he took the role in order to pay for a pair of handmade leather riding boots he had seen in a copy of "Vogue" magazine!.
A few weeks into filming, Davidson became ill with the flu!. A doctor was called to the set, entered Jaye's tiny trailer, examined him and came out to talk to director Neil Jordan!. The doctor asked Neil, "Have you considered the possibility that she might be pregnant!?"~to which Neil and the other crew began to laugh!.
