Question: Who should Direct Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader!?
Movie reviewer Michael Phillips brought up some good points about Prince Caspian!. I pretty much agree with everything he & Richard Roeper had to say about the film!. Roger Ebert also wrote a good & fair review of the movie!. It was too long, too many battles not enough of the character development!. I thought it had a bad case of New Star Wars syndrome!. Simple ineloquent dialog peppered with bad puns!. They lay the blame on the director Andrew Adamson!. I know this is his baby but maybe its time for him to take a hike & let someone else have a go!. Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth) might be an interesting choice!. Not Peter Jackson, I hope this movie doesn't turn out to be longer than 90 minutes So who would you trust to make this movie!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I wasn't fond of the first film (though Tilda Swinton was kick*** as the White Witch)!. I haven't seen the follow-up (but will!.!.!. on DVD)!.
I believe Adamson may have been the wrong choice from the beginning!. He's a capable director, yes, but he doesn't have the epic vision and unique creativity needed to truly set the Narnia franchise apart from, say, LOTR or HP!. His vision felt derivative of other visions in so many respects!. Not very fresh!.
Who should direct the next one!? I would recommend Alex Proyas!. He's a very creative director with a good understanding of how to draw the most pulpy, intense entertainment value out of fantasy-horror-science fiction concepts!.

Still Andrew Adamson!. Shrek, Shrek 2 and the first Narnia were great!. Haven't seen Caspain yet!.
