I think it would be a tough film for you if you're usually into scary/action/anime stuff, but I think it's such an amazing film, you should at least give it a try!.
In case you have no background info, it's based on Christopher McCandless' real life journey to Alaska, and his observations on man, nature, and our interconnected relationships!. The film attempts to teach us lessons that the main character has already learned the difficult way!.
It's a very emotional film, and if you're the kind of person who enjoys seriously reflecting on what you've just seen and drawing comparisons based on your own personal experiences, then this might be just the movie for you!.

also, I have to disagree with j1_projectz!. I reserved my judgement until AFTER I actually saw the film and not just the preview, and I can say Emile Hirsch, who played the main character, is phenomenal in this role!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It's good but not scary or full of action!. There are family conflicts, a little romance (sort of), brief nudity, some small and one BIG adventure, beautiful wildlife photography, poetry recited, and, lastly, sadness---all rolled up together into one entertaining movie!. I'd give it a B!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
the book seemed interesting but i never got to finish it!. when i heard there was a movie i wanted to see it, but after i saw the preview, the guy playing it made the character seem annoying so i lost interest!.!.!.!.so i wonder if its good too lolWww@Enter-QA@Com
