How does the film maker portray the 1950s!?

There's a couple different examples of symbolism!.
-There's no black people in that neighborhood, thats a 1950s thing
-The innocent girls, bad boys attitude
-The no sex, no porn type of society (that was how people tried to keep life back then)
-Poodle Skirts and Saddle Shoes!
-The cheerleading outfit (margaret wears)
-House with white picket fence (everybody had that then)
so yeah, those are just a few ideas!. I'm assuming this is for a project or a class!. So you can build off of any of those options!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It wasn't the 50's it was the Hollywood "idealized 50's portrayed in the tv shows and movies!. They tried to portray an almost Victorian code on there shows that were really ridiculous, Such as the double beds in every bedroom in America!. I remember growing up in that era and the first tv couple I remember in one bed was the Munsters!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The main thing that differentiated the Pleasantville era from the modern era was the black-and-white photography!.
