I can think of a number where the remakes might have been bigger than the first!.
Italian Job (1969 then 2003) The remake was very good!.
Open Your Eyes(1997) was a French film and remade into Vanilla Sky(2001)!. They used the same lead actress because she speaks English and French and Vanilla Sky is one of my favorite movies ever!.
The Shop Around the Corner(1940) is a Jimmy Stuart classic that was remade scene for scene with Tom Hanks as You've got mail(1998)!. Both of them are great!
Willy Wonka Made first in 1971 then remade with Jonny Depp in 2005!. The second was not as big as the first but both made lots of money!.
also, there has been numerous Superman movies over the years, almost every decade!. With a variety of new actors playing superman!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
