I just saw Sex and the City The Movie @ midnight, did everyone else see the mic !

Question: I just saw Sex and the City The Movie @ midnight, did everyone else see the mic throughout the film!?
Even though I saw the boom microphone in the film I still loved it!. If you were an avid watcher of Sex and the City as I was, you will love it too!. And I'm pretty sure the audience had a positive reaction to the movie as well (with all the cheering and clapping it was pretty obvious)!. I don't know if seeing the mic is a result of poor editing, but I do hope something gets done about it!. I would hate to see a good movie flop due to totally crappy editing!. Everyone let me know what you think!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

That wasn't the movie!.!.!.it was a projection error!. The projectionist had the movie framed wrong!. There is a little knob on the projector that centers the movie on the screen!. If it's framed too high, the heads of everyone get cut off!. If it's framed too low, you see the boom microphones hanging over everybody's heads!.

If this occurs, notify a theater employee immediately!. It can be corrected in a matter of seconds!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yes, I saw the mic too, it was really unfortunate!. There were so many people in the theatre and the mic was so in your face that the whole theatre was talking and laughing really loud and I couldn't hear what was said and follow what was going on in the scene (a pretty tense scene between Carrie and Big)!. It didn't spoil the movie or anything, but it would have been nice to hear what Carrie and Big were saying to each other as tension was escalating!. If you're going to see it, be prepared to focus and strain your ears early in the movie just after a scene where Charlotte and Harry get it on!. All in all the movie was great and it was easy to get back into the movie after the boom mic incident!. I'll probably watch it again this summer, it's such a fun movie!. Enjoy everybody, it's a great show!Www@Enter-QA@Com

That's really the projectionist's fault!. He probably had the curtains raised too high:

"Here's a factoid that may be a revelation: if you see boom mics on a movie theater screen, in nearly every case, the fault lies with your theater's projectionist rather than anyone involved with the actual film production!."Www@Enter-QA@Com

I saw it last night too at midnight and I definetly saw the microphone throughout a whole scene, and then randomly a couiple of other times!. I bet we weren't in the same theatre though so my guess is editing not projection!.!.!.and if you go to www!.perezhilton!.com he has a little post about watch out for boom mics!. BUT besides that, loved the movie! and I agree!.!.!.I hope that gets fixed, I couldn't pay attention to that whole scene I was too focused on the mics and how ridiculous it was!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I dont think it was a projectionalist error either!. It only happened in one scene that I also pretty much missed b/c everyone was laughing and the voices were really low!. It also seems like it happened everywhere!. I live in Miami, FL!.

Regardless, the movie was fantasticWww@Enter-QA@Com

I don't think it was the projectionist in this case since it seems to have been pretty widespread !.!.!. =\
