Question: Questions about the movie 'Proof'!?
I was a bit confused by the movie!.
The notebook with the proofs really belonged to Catherine right!?
Did she pass it as her father's work because she wanted him to be thought of as a genius and not someone who would be remembered as a mentally disturbed man!?
Did she believe it enough to change the truth!?
Why would she take back it back and say it was her notebook if she wanted to protect her dad!?
Or am I mixed up!?

yes the book belonged to cat!.
she passed it off as her father's work to redeem him!. since everyone thought he was some crazy old man, if they found out he figured out this amazing formula, they would see him as brilliant!.

I think AT FIRST she wanted to keep her father's reputation as a genius!. Then when she was made to feel like "of course your father did this because you are too dumb to think of this on your own" she recanted what she said and claimed her work as her own!. also she knew she was just like her father and did not want to go down the path of madness like him!. She thought if she passed the work off as his, she was not fulfilling her fate of having mental troubles like her father!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
