How do movies coordinate with the score?!
Question: How do movies coordinate with the score!?
Do they shoot the movie and then the composure creates a score that matches or is it the other way around or a little of both!? ThanksWww@Enter-QA@Com
Answers:
Most films compose music after the film is basically complete, Star Wars is a very popular example for this!. Some directors, however, already have an idea of what they want a film to sound like!. Akira Kurosawa was notorius for doing this, he put the Cuckoo Waltz in Drunken Angel, and told established composer Toru Takemitsu to make the score sound like Gustav Mahler in Ran, almost every movie he made, sans The Lower Depths, has examples of his influence in the musical score!. Normally this lessens a films impact though, because the audience may already have feeling associated with the composition that don't match the directors feelings, or what he intends his audience to feel!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
