First of all the fact that you put them two in the same catergory means that you also believe there is only one Crow movie starring Brandon Lee (no offence to Mark Dukakis however its spelt) the rest are crap and should never have been written or released just trying to cash in on the mass cult popularity of the original to steal the dollars of the viewing public!.
Secondly, those that say any of the other Crow RIP OFFS are any good see a psycologist you need your head read!.
Third those two movies are completely different its like putting pulp fiction and Forrest bloody gump in the same catergorythey are both great films but one is just that and the other is a cult classic that attracted more than 3 generations and is still loved by today and still watched by the current generations

The two are not even in the same genre!. 12 monkeys is a science fiction film and The Crow is a love story that deals with the paranormal!. This is an odd question!. My answer is The Crow!. It is unique and it certainly is a cult classic!. I can't think of another film like The Crow, but I can think of several films like 12 Monkeys!.
Someone above said they didn't like The Crow because there were too many "Crow wanna bes"!. Well, I think that statement proves The Crow is the better film!. There certainly are no Brad Pitt, Bruce Willis "wanna bes"!. Their characters aren't quite memorable enough to constitute this type of phenomenon!. Their characters are like a number of other characters in similar "time travel" and "the end of the world as it is currently known" films!. Not only that, but The Crow was beautifully filmed with amazing color, more than perfect costuming and unforgetable set design!. The dialogue was even perfect!. It was never stupid or campy despite the film's cult status now!.

The both of them are great films, but the others are right, they both belong in two differant catagories!.
The Crow (the first one with Brandon Lee) was a great action flick that had great humor and a lot of heart in it!.
Twelve Monkeys was a great film that made an emotional effect on me!. In my opinion, Bruce Willis should have won the acadamy award for that film instead of Brad Pitt!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well this is a one-sided battle for me, I've never seen Twelve Monkeys, or heard of it, for that matter!. But I love The Crow, and following sequels!. Hey, if you dare to put it in the same comparison-type question as The Crow, I think I'm going to go check out that Twelve Monkeys thing!.
