Answers:
Yes we do watch US war movies, and BOB was quite brilliant!. Filmed in the UK I believe, mostly on one studio back lot, which was re-dressed and re-built several times!. It also had alot of Britsh actors in it and is quite faithful to the book by Stephen Ambrose(which I would recommemend everybody to read)!.
In fact British production companies have far more involvement in movie production than most people think!. The BBC is very active throughout world, and are responsible for some very good , historical "docu-dramas"!. But many UK films are now very polished so you may not recognise a traditonaly British feel to them!.
However some US war films have re-written the history of the world, portraying the Brits in a bad way of even trying to obliterate our contribution to WW2 altogether!. Well that's patriotism for you!Www@Enter-QA@Com

On TV, we have BBC America which plays British television shows!. It's where I get my Dr!. Who fix and my Gordon Ramsey fix!.

As for the movies, you may not realize you see them all the time!. You just don't realize it!. Here's a list of recent British films to cross the sea:

Harry Potter (all of them)
The Golden Compass
Shaun of the Dead
Casino Royale
Pride and Prejudice
The Phantom of the Opera
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
V for Vendetta
Atonement
Hot Fuzz
Elizabeth
Troy

The current popular British film around Los Angeles in the quirky "Rambow" about two boys making a film about Rambo!.

One thing to remember - such as in the Harry Potter films - we tend to not realize we're watching an English film!. Many films that are actually English are sometimes thought of as being American!. This is the case of such films as Gladiator, The Golden Compass, and Casino Royale - which were all English produced!.

probably because a lot of american movies are big budget and worldwide while a lot of british movies might be smaller and made in britain and don't have the money to advertise worldwide!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
