I think maybe Diablo Cody tried too hard on paper to write funny or cute lines, but I think Ellen Page made them seem natural-- for her character, who is, remember, not exactly a mainstream sort of girl!.
And I disagree that the movie was "preachy"!. Juno considered abortion in a pretty careless way; in truth, having an abortion is a traumatic event, and I think her character just decided she'd rather do something nice for someone else than go through the trauma!. The screenwriter is a former stripper who I think (this may not be accurate) has had an abortion herself!. So I do not concur with the "preachy" synopsis!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
