My favorite is Sean Connery because he played the part with arrogance, introduced the smoothness to the character and he made you want to become a secret agent!.
At number 2 I also like Roger Moore!. He wasn't as suave as Connery but he kept that coolness to James Bond!.
Number 3 I would put Daniel Craig over any other because he brings you a mix of Connery and Moore!. His egotistical arrogance make's you love his character!. At first when you find out who got the Bond spot you think he isn't attractive enough to be Bond!. I guess cause the last Bond was a pretty boy type, but Craig's attitude and demeanor give him a coolness attribute that takes you back to the classic Bond!.

I used to think Timothy Dalton was more the Bond charactor as created by Ian Fleming but I have to say now that Daniel Craig has got the charactor in the books down to a T!. Casino Royale is one of my favs!. I actually like them all including the George Lazemby (spelling) in Of Her Majestys Secret Service!. Pierce Bronson(spelling again) was good as well!.
