I think Timothy Dalton was seriously underrated as Bond, he was in my opinion one of the best actors in the series!.
What I liked about Licence To Kill is that Bond broke away from the Secret Service and went on his own vendetta to avenge Felix and his Wife!.
This showed a more dangerous side to the character and made him more unpredictable!.
The villains were drug dealers, they were cold and menacing unlike some stereotyped villain who wanted to take over the world!.
Bond's main motivation to bring them down was revenge!.
Robert Davi was a great villain!.
Yes, I think Licence To Kill was one of the best James Bond movies!. Surprisingly, I think it was the only Bond movie to make a loss at the box office, although I don't think that was any fault of either Dalton or the storyline!. I think they failed to market the film properly!.
