my theory is!.!.!.I don't think there will b a harry potter and the half blood prince trailer!. There might be a 20 second thing on TV the week the movie comes out, but i don't think there will be an actual theatrical trailer!. There is no need for it, trailers usually advertise the movies, and Harry Potter definitely doesn't need advertising!. Everyone knows it!. so why would WB spend money on a trailer!. Heck, some people don't even know that the seventh movie will be made into two parts!
Anyway, alot of people have seen the previous five movies but never read the books, so they still look forward to HP movies, but they have no idea when they come out or what they're rated, etc!. This is why trailers are made, so regular fans that don't read every piece of info on the upcoming movies or anything can know when it comes out and put it on the calendar!.
To not make a trailer would be sheer stupidity!. However, like someone else said, I've heard around that the trailer MIGHT show up in front of Get Smart!. Of course, we heard it might show up in front of Narnia/Speed Racer, but that didn't happen!.

You and I are very big HP fans, and we would not need the trailer, but there are those who would probably better wish to see the movie after a trailer inticed them into wanting more!.

Nah - there'll be a trailer!. Are you kidding!?! They'll want to get all the kids salivating in their seats!. Half the budget of a movie these days is spent on marketing and product placement and tie-ins!.
