Question: Cloverfield!? What did you think!?
I just saw if for the first time last night and i actually enjoyed it!. Maybe i had really low expectations or something but i enjoyed the idea i guess!. What did you guys think of it!? I kind of wanted more closure at the end however!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well, I expected a monster movie and felt like I got a love story, lol!. That being said, it was alright!. I actually liked the way it was filmed!. I felt like it gave the film more tension!. I also would have prefered more closure in the end but at the same time, we (the audience) were seeing it from the character's perspective so there really isn't any other way it could have ended and I understand that!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I very much enjoyed the movie!. A lot of people, see Answer 1, whine and moan about the camera which makes them hate the movie!. Cloverfield had a plot which outlined the disaster from the point of view of a small group of people!. The charcters in the movie didn't know where the monster came from, therefore we were never told or shown its origins!. We were only ever shown what that group experienced, no more, no less!. The ending ended with the death, or assumed death, of the group of people we had been following!.
Had they added the origins of the monster or shown what happened to the moster or area at the end it would have completely removed the viewer from the atmosphere the movie created!. Imagine watching the whole movie in first person camera view, then at the end you see two soldiers walking through Central Park going through rubble from a third person view, it would have completely destroyed the filming style!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

if you go see it having no expectations (like you and I) you actually enjoy it!. you cannot expect the usual movie experience as it's pretty unique!. the end was left open so they can try to "rock us again" with a sequel we all know this rarely ever happens!. sequels are for when nothing else is playing lol!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
