Question: Stand by me- movie!?
k i watched ''stand by me'' today
and it got me thinking how todays guys have changed so much!.!.now a days the popualr guys r the preppy,jerky, ones, and what lots of ppl do for fun is stand and talk!. i just think guys back then were so much nicer, for fun theyd build forts and advetnture and stuff!. now guys only like girls for looks and thats it!.!.
i cant really explain how it really touched me!. but did anyone else feel the same way!?!?!?!?!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

i love this movie alot its my favourite!. i could watch it over and over again every day!.!.!.the book is great too!.!.!.!.!. i have to agree with everything you have written!.!.!. everytime i watch the film it makes me want to live back in the 50s, 60 and 70s because the guys seem a lot more nicer and decent!. and cuter hahaha even if it is a movie :pWww@Enter-QA@Com

I agree!.Like when I was a kid in the 60's and 70's,my friends and I always did that kind of stuff!.We were always outside,and we had imaginations!.We didn't need computers,video games and the like,as we didn't have them!.I think the problem today is that so many parents use the computer or TV as a babysitter instead of encouraging their kids to use their imaginations and to get outside and have fun!.also,today's kids are so much more aware of sex at such a young age,and they also say words that we would never have dreamed of saying,as we would have been punished,and severely! There is also a lack of common sense,empathy,and compassion!.It's sad!. I watched the movie,too,as it is one of my favorites!. It makes you wish you could go back!. A much simpler time,and not so much to worry about!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
It's a fabulous "back in the days" movie and it would nice if we still had some of those values in our society today!. TV, video games, cell phones and computers have replaced climbing trees, building forts and those secret hiding places to talk about your brother or sister!.

it was a good movie!.!. on AMC right!? anyway!.!.!. the movie was, but it was completely symbolic, (well not completely!.) Rob Reiner and steven king used childhood memories and hidden thoughts to compile that movie!. it was symbolic their emotions toward family and friends!.!. and is often know as a movie of "loss of innocence!." and guys still hang out like that today!.!.!. me for example am 20 and i still do stuff like that one day i walked 10 miles on the tracks just because!. media and sterio types will tell you that that is what guys do!.!.!. but for those who think for themselves, that's what boys of time still do!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Absolutely! Watching movies from the 50's, and some parts of the 60's, and even hearing stories from older people about that era, always have a presence of innocence!.!.Than as the years went on, everyone lost their morals, and self respect!. I think about it all the time!. I would love to pull up to a drive-in, or dinner, and have waiters rollerskate out to the car, or even go on a date to a little icecream shop!. I was a Super-adventurer-Space Pirate-Super-Hero when I was a kid!. I built forts and had a tree house!. A good dog that went everywhere with me and of course 2 cats that followed me everywhere too , that was embarrassing!.!.!. I had a stick rifle and a stick sword!. I went fishing and hung out in an orchard at the end of the day!.!.!.Now kids want a DS and a cellphone!.!.!.What happened!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
