How do interpret the film No Country For Old Men?!

Question: How do interpret the film No Country For Old Men!?
Answers:
The movie is about the Tommy Lee Jones character, not the drug money and Chigur!. It is about his coming to terms with his mortality!.

I have argued with many people about this!. I am of the opinion that the Anton Chigur character is not actually human!. He is instead a force of nature embodied!. He is the random hand of fate itself!. It is a mistake to think of him as "evil"!. He merely keep the universe in order depending on which side of the coin comes up!. Remember the scene where he is hiding behind the door of the hotel room while Tommy Lee Jones is there!. Then the door swings shut, and he isn't there anymore!. Rewatch it and think of him as a supernatural force, singular in purpose, with no emotional attachment to anyone or anything!.

Thanks for the thumbs down, Chuck!. I said that "I am of the opinion"!. I didn't say it definitely was!. I didn't say that any other interpretation was incorrect!. The question asked "How do you interpret the film"!. I answered the question!. Which you didn't!. JaggoffWww@Enter-QA@Com

I don't understand why people can't get this film!. If you watch it should be very clear, you don't need to read the book to comprehend the film!. If you pay attention to what goes on, it's an incredibly easy movie to understand!. The film has a couple of themes running through it consistently!. One being of unstoppable evil, of almost unnatural proportions, personified by Anton Chigurgh!. This is a theme that is very common in Coen Brothers films!. Another theme is that of the inherent evil of greed!. Every death in the film can be attributed to the acquisition of money, except the first two, but their motives are unknown as we do not know why Anton was arrested!. Even when there is no death money causes problems, i!.e!. the scene on the bridge to Mexico in which Llewelyn is pilfered out of like 500 dollars!. And the scene when Anton gets in an accident, even though the kid gladly gives him his shirt the two kids immediately start fighting over the money as soon as he leaves, giving us the feeling that not even the future generation will be able to separate themselves from the rotted allure of money!. The last is that of the namesake, and the beginning and ending of the film!. The theme that crime is not understandable, and good will not triumph over evil!. This is evident when Anton is not caught, and Sheriff Bell gives up his search for him in the middle of it!. Bell's inability to understand the crime in which he is facing is evident by his opening monologue, and his last dream that ends the film!. It's not something that is unclear, the ending is very clear!. There are no loose strings, everything is tied up at the end!. Although, I'm sure the book will help you very much in giving a better appreciation of the film, it is in no way necessary to understanding the movie!. The movie is pretty close to the novel, so, if you needed the novel to understand the movie you would need Cormac McCarthy himself to understand the novel!. Just watch intently, without unneeded distractions, and think of what the directors are trying to say to you, with every shot, and line of dialogue!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
