I watch as many as five or six a day, so I'll list some of the recent ones I've seen:

A Murder of Crows~I thought it was dreadful, with horrible acting, give-away surprises, terrible "disguises" for a character, and almost unbearable to watch as Cuba Gooding, Jr!., tried to make himself out to be a dashing, handsome, anti-hero!. With his grating voice which makes it difficult to understand him and his self-conscious acting, as if he was in rehearsal, not the real thing, it's as bad the third time I've watched it as it was the first time!. I keep TRYING to like it, but it stinks! He is NOT a sex symbol, and it took him producing a film to try to make out that he is, even to an interracial sex scene that's just a major embarrassment!. But, it's almost corny and dopey enough to be so-awful-its-funny!. You wonder how he couldn't see through the disguises!?!

The Last Sunset (1961)
As the host noted, this was one of the last of the old-style Westerns made by Hollywood!. Three years later, the Spaghetti Western would show up and change how Westerns are made~though I think we're swinging back to the old-fashioned ones once more!. I don't know how I never encountered this one, which stars Rock Hudson, Kirk Douglas, Dorothy Malone, Joseph Cotten and Carol Lynley!. It's from Douglas' production company and is a terrific story about a scalawag outlaw (Kirk) pursued by a sheriff (Rock), who encounters an old flame (Dorothy) who is married to a man in need of workers on a cattle drive!. When they reach the end of the trail, the sheriff has sworn to kill the outlaw!. There are all sorts of twists and turns!. Kirk sings and recites a poem! If you enjoy slightly offbeat Westerns or want to give one a chance, try this!.

White Cargo (1942)~starring Hedy Lamarr ("I am Tondelayo!."), Walter Pidgeon, Frank Morgan (Professor Marvel and the Wizard in "The Wizard of Oz", plus a couple of other characters)~~This is fiercely, overly dramatic, with over-the-top performances that are a delight! I think some of it is intentionally tongue-in-cheek!. Watch Hedy's performance, and you'll know where Naomie Harris must have gotten Tia Dalma; I'd be amazed if she hasn't seen this film multiple times because the head movements, speech patters, and body movements are exactly like Hedy Lamarr in this film!

Others I watched last night and today and would recommend are:
Mrs!. Palfrey at the Claremont~starring Joan Plowright and Rupert Friend (who certainly deserves to become one of our next stars!)

20 Million Miles to Earth~Ray Harryhausen creature in a rousing science fiction adventure from the Fifties

First Men in the Moon~another Ray Harryhausen adventure, a period film set at the turn of the 20th century

Ivanhoe (1952)~starring Robert Taylor, Joan Fontaine and Elizabeth Taylor (no relation)~~a colorful, enjoyable, adventure set in the time of King Richard the LionheartedWww@Enter-QA@Com

"Meet The Spartans"=2!.5 for spoof comedy goes its not too bad!. better than I had thought it would be

"Untraceable"=7 pretty good film!. if you like suspence movies and the t!.v!. show "Criminal Minds" then you would proabably like it!.

"The Eye"= 2 this movie was not so great!. I expected more!. But I will have to see the chinese version, its proabably better!. anytime they try to americanize the asian horror/suspence films, I find the asian version is way better!.

sorry I know you said Film!. but I saw all three of these in one day!. couldn't decide which one to rate!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
