Online!? I highly doubt that they would go after you for that!. But it sometimes depends on the isp, like if you have at&t, they go after you!. If you have verizon, there is really no way to catch you!. They will know your ip address, but not your identity, and verizon will never give them your identity, because it strongly believes in privacy!. That's a good thing!. But most of the people who get caught for copyright infringement are caught because they were selling the illegally downloaded movies for a profit, or uploading movies!.
And most of the time, people who get caught just get a warning the first time, but it is highly unlikely that you will get caught!. I know one person who got a warning, because he was downloading a game!. If you don't want to risk it, just don't download anything!. Hope this helped!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Not me personally, and no one that I personally know has!. However, it has been in the news that the media companies HAVE taken people to court over copyright infringement, with the number approaching 100K!. What do you think happened with Napster!? They were included in all the lawsuits because they provided the means to infringe on copyrights!. The media companies routinely monitor the various peer to peer networks, looking for people sharing copyrighted materials that they own and are prosecuting the people who download files illegally!. They find you by your IP address!. Hundreds are being taken to court every day, as fast as they can process the paperwork through the courts!. It is only a matter of time until you receive a letter if you are dealing with illegal copyrighted materials!. Their only peoblem is one of logistics in that it takes a finite amount of time to locate a person doing this and their resources are not unlimited for what is actually a very small return on the investment they make in manpower and effort!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
