I find that movies like "Schindler's List" make me emotional because of the goodness of the character, or in "Steel Magnolias" because of the sacrafice of the characters!.
A really sad movie, though, is "Million Dollar Baby!." We're not applauding a character's strength, or sacrafice, or goodness, it's just plain sad!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The Notebook is definitely going to make you cry, and so is A Walk To Remember! Some other movies that are pretty are The Pursuit of Happiness (Will Smith) , A Beautiful Mind (Russell Crowe), and The Gridiron Gang is inspirational enough to make you cry at times too!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
