I say the movie THE LAST AMERICAN VIRGIN -- not that I was a virgin (for long) in high school, but the style of clothes, the music, the dating, the male bonding and the hijinks seem closest to my high school experience!.

I would have been Janis!. I was the girl that had been friends with the popular crowd during grade school, only to be pushed away when we all hit puberty!.
