!.!.!.I remember seeing a documentary, many, many years ago, about the behind-the-scenes making of one of those retro old-school kung fu chock socky martial arts flicks, and amazingly enough, the sound effect for this particular punching sound (!.!.!.and it always cracked me up, that the same sound occurred, whether someone was hitting someone else, or even hitting air) was a ping pong paddle striking a naugahyde couch or seat!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
They have a sound affects board and like about 2 seconds when there about to puch them they do it and then the actors get really close to puching them then they miss but they do it so it looks like they punched them but they really didnt!.Hope I answered your question
