I love Shyamalan's movies!. I haven't seen The Happening yet, but I loved Signs, The Village, and The Lady in the Water!.
He has said he wants to be the king of the B movies and I love B movies - grew up on them, still love them!. He gets the genre and does it well!. They aren't for everyone!. I tend to hate the big blockbusters and romantic comedies while lots of other people like them - that's fine, movie tastes are highly individual!. If you don't like Shyamalan's movies, just don't watch them!.
I won't be watching the new Sex in the City movie and that saves me from having to complain about it!.!.!. see how that works :)Www@Enter-QA@Com

With "The Happening"!.!.!.he just tried to stretch a weak premise too far!. It could have been done in a way that successfuly got us viewers to suspend our disbelief!. It didn't!.
But his movies ARE good!. The thing is, people saw Sixth Sense and they want every movie to be just like it!. People don't seem to realize that his movies are about people more than the horror or thriller part of his plot!.
The Villiage was good!. it was not a horror movie!.!.!.it was meant to be a psychological thriller about the commuity and their fear!. It wasn't so much about the monster!. And so it was good!. If you wanted a cheap, easy horror movie, you missed out cuz thats not what it was!.
