The books were written over 60 years ago by J!.R!.Tolkien so how could it be insipired by them in 1966!.!.!.!.Maybe in 1966 the Daimajin Ikaru was insipired by the J!.R Tolkien books!! J!.R Tolkien wrote these books between 1937 and 1949 and they were published in 1955 so it could be the other way round and these books inspired the Japanese!!!!!!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

That doesn't seem too likely to me!. The books were all written before 1966 and I doubt Peter Jackson borrowed a lot from an obscure Japanese sci-fi film, but if Kurosawa's worked partially inspired Star Wars I guess it's a possibility!.
