It might be a bit boring unless the 12 year old is very mature for his/her age!. A 15 year old might like it!. It is gorey and violent, so only the 15 year old should actually see it!. There's a few disturbing scenes involving a face-bashing, cheek-slicing, and vagina-bleeding!. Hey, be thankful I made it sound a little bit less bad through my wordplay!. I think Pan's Labyrinth is one of the better movies of the last few years, but, though not exactly gory, it is disturbing for young kids (I'd say must adults will find it disturbing too)!. It is R-rated for a good reason: it is a dark film, there are adult themes, some very strong images, nightmarish scenes and violence!. The ending is just plain brutal!. I would actually recommend an adult watch it with the 15 year old as there is much to discuss about the film (historical aspects, what is really going on), but I would put off showing it to the 12 year old for a couple of years and have him or her enjoy something much tamer and age appropriate like Alice in Wonderland, Bridge to Terabitha, Spirited Away or Labyrinth!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The original Labyrinth with David Bowie in it is acceptable for 15 and 12 year olds!. It's very kid friendly, but Pan's Labyrinth is in a different language and they would have to read difficult subtitles and it is a big violent!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
It may not be as scary for 15 year old!. But for kids 12 and under, you may have to watch your kids if you have any in case they do get scared!. Otherwise, 12 and under should'nt watch that movie!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
i wouldn't show it to a 12 yo!.!.!. but 15 it about on the cusp!. watch it first and then make the choice you feel is right tho!.!.!. no one on the 'net can tell you right or wrong on judgement calls like this, its something you have to figure out as being right for you!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I didn't watch it, but my husband did and he said it was pretty graphic and didn't expect it to be that way at all!. I would pretty much say no to a 12 year old!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
