I'll be the voice of dissent here!. I think "The Happening" is a very misunderstood movie!. No, it's not perfect, but I think it tries to do something different!. The story is ultimately about a husband and wife who realize the depth of their feelings for one another only when faced with a life-threatening crisis!.
People who only want to be scared - and who want the "reason" for the virus spoon fed to them - will hate it!. Those who are open to its themes will be pleasantly surprised!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It was the worst movie I have ever seen!.!.!. I left a little more than halfway through and I never leave during a movie!.
The concept was ridiculous, the writing was awful and the acting was forced!. It's so not worth your money!.

contrary to what others are saying, i liked it!.
it wasn't scary in a "scary' kind of way!. it was scary in a disturbing way!.
it sickened the viewer, and really made you think!.
it was somewhat gross, i admit!. but it was the shock in the movie that made it so!.!.!.good!. lol

Just finished watching it like 45 minutes ago!.!.!.It was horrible!. It started off pretty good!.!.!.!.and just got progressively worst!. The ending was!.!.!.!.!.!.blah
