I saw this movie ages ago and really liked it but don't remember the name!.
It was set in the era when African Amercians were slaves and blamed for everything, and when prisoners used to build roads!.
There were these two men (black of course) that were in a pub full of caucasian folk when a murder occured!. The two men were blamed for the murder and sentenced to jail!.
One of the men started working for the prison warden on his property as a butler/gardener, the warden found light duties for his friend also!.
The warden eventually being to believe that the men are innocent and helps them to escape!.
