Everyone thought it was the plants secreting a toxin!. But this was not proven!. That was the agreed-upon theory that held water and seemed most reasonable, but it was not proven!.
The point of this movie was to show how science is largely composed of theories!. We teach these theories to students, talk about them in social setting, etc, but they are no more true or proven than say, The Bible!.
In the beginning of the movie, Wahlberg is talking about the honeybee epidemic, They are really disappearing!.!.!.that is not fiction!. But no one can explain it!. All we have are theories!.!.!.no one can prove beyond the shadow of a doubt why they are disappearing!.
So, that's the way I see it!. This movie really kinda sucked, but it does make a strong point about putting your faith in something you cannot see verses believing in theories or human-created reasoning!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
