Singing in film and TV is pretty much always lip synced!. They simply cannot get the sound they need by having the actors sing during shooting!. So, they do sing during shooting, but then they go into the studio and record the song and that is what they used for the film or TV show!. Much of the time they even have to do studio voice overs for the speaking parts!. The boom mikes can only pick up so much!. If they didn't do this voice over or sing over process then everything would sound like a home video sounds on your TV!. It's not that they are untalented at all!. (In the majority of cases anyway) I mean the Jonas Brother sing live on stage all the time and they are fine!. It's all about sound quality!. If there is any blame then it probably goes to the sound editors/syncing people!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
