Question: New flicks versus old ones!. Why the oldies seem better!?
Most new movies seem childish in their reliance on special effects!. So many seem to appeal to the base emotions and lack the fluidity of a good intelligent plot!. There are many exceptions of course---good movies are still made, but the old flicks seemed to have a quality unequaled to this day!. Is this because only the good ones are preserved and rerun, or is my opinion that the "oldies are superior" quite widespread>!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who thinks that, I really hate where modern days are taking us, I lOVE old things, movies, cars, music, clothes ect!. Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong time age because I really hate all modern stuff, it just sucks and is boring and uncreative!. I guess there are a few exceptions but mostly its just terrible!. Things used to be well thought out, they were imaginative, inspiring beautiful but now there just simple, stupid and have one layer no deap meanings or thoughts to them!. Especially MTV movies, the all have like the same plot, I don't enjoy them, they have bad acting, bad plot, bad morals, and they don't change my life!. I mean especially those dancing movies that MTV keeps making, I suppose Step Up was one of there more standable films!. But then Step Up 2, I mean seriously, WOW BAD MOVIE!. And I didn't even bother seeing it but there was that movie called How She Move which just looked absolutly terrible if you ask me and what are they trying to teach people!? to use bad grammer!? I mean for God's sake its how she moves, not move, It just angers me!. But there are exceptions there are some good movies, my favorites are Pleasantivlle, The Truman Show, Meet Joe Black, The notebook, Stranger Than Fiction and my all time fav is Donnie Darko!. Those are all fairly new (at least the 90's) I don't I just don't like where the entertainment industry is going and I swear I'm not an old lady who's talking about how much better things were back in the olden days!. I'm young I just have an old mind i guess, I suppose you do too!. Glad we are on the same page and usually the ones who like the oldies like us are a lot smarter and more succesful!. I agree with you!. After renting so many new releases I got so frustrated with the contrived plots, and overstimulation for the a!.d!.d!. society we have become that I started renting 70's, 80's, and early 90's movies!. Even though they weren't as flashy and polished, the plots and the acting was far superior!.

Absolutely true!. Many of today's audiences only seem to want to watch things blow up and go fast, and seem to have the attention spans of gnats - so some studios don't even seem to hire a writer!. Let's just do a sequel or a remake!
