Question: What draws male viewers to The Princess Bride!?
Why do you hear so many men say this is one of their favorite films when it is not something you would automatically think of as a guy flick!? Not that there is anything wrong with it but I'm simply curious!. Given the choice of an action movie vs a romance, 10 out of 10 guys would pick action, yet this movie is all about romance, even with the swordplay and other testosterone-induced moments, and yet it seems to be the favorite of more men than women!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I have heard my friends husband say it is because it is the "anti-romance" and though it is a great movie and I like the love story and the comedy in it, it is also in very many ways a spoof!. And as has been proven lately with all the success of the "scary movie" franchise there is something about that genre that appeals to men!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
