What are some good "must see" movies?!

Question: What are some good "must see" movies!?
I'm leaving on a family vacation tomorrow morning and we'll be taking a car ride from NY to Maryland!. I need some ideas for movies to watch in the car!. I have seen many movies but I was wondering what some of your favorite are!. Preferably anything that doesn't drag out for too long and will keep me interesting!. Any funny movies usually keep me interested!.

Thanks!Www@Enter-QA@Com

It depends what kind of equipment you have for viewing movies in your car!. If you've got a reasonably good screen and sound, then I would recommend the Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, James Bond, Pirates of the Caribbean, Terminator, Indiana Jones and Matrix movies (that covers some 44 movies, of which I've seen all but the very latest Indiana Jones movie)!. If you're looking for something a little less epic and a little more obscure, then some decent choices are Deep Impact (it's less flashy than Armageddon, but the science and story are both superior), The Abyss, The Princess Bride, The Outlaw Josey Wales (personally my all-time favorite western), Predator, Doctor Strangelove and GalaxyQuest!. I advise against watching Alien, Apocalypse Now, The Game, Seven or The Blair Witch Project, as they aren't really the right kind of movies to watch on a car ride!. And there are some movies, like Dead Man, Moulin Rouge (at least the more recent version), Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Dead Ringers, which are probably never worth wasting your time on at all, in the car or out of it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
