Why do release dates for movies get pushed back?!
Question: Why do release dates for movies get pushed back!?
I'm dying to see the new movie with Jennifer Aniston, He's Just Not That Into You, and its original release date was in August, and then it got pushed back to October 24, and now it's being released February 6th!. Why does this happen!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

The release date you see is never the official one, not until it's completely printed on posters, etc!. The inital release date (in this case, Oct!. 24th) was the date set up by the studio!. Multiple things could go wrong (or happen) that causes a release date to get pushed back!. Casting problems, location shooting problems (such as bad weather), budgetary problems, the list goes on and on!. They could even have problems in post-production (editing, sound, etc)!. This causes the film to be pushed back because the filmmakers know for a fact that they would never make it to the release date!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
It could mean that test audiences didn't rate it well, so they may want to make changes!.
In other cases, it may mean that the post-production, or special effect work is causing delays!. But it doesn't sound like that's the case here!.
It could mean that the movie studio has too many other movies coming out this fall!. Or maybe they want to tie in the release date to Valentine's Day if it's a romantic comedy!.
Then again, maybe it means the movie isn't very good and they're trying to hide it on the schedule!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Some post production procedures take longer then they expect like editing or other procedures!. also they try to put the movie on a release date that can make the most money!. They do not want to put the movie along with some big box office movie like Harry potter or some highly anticipated movie that appeals to most of the publicWww@Enter-QA@Com
