The Godfather, Part II!. Even though the Godfather, Part I is better, these two movies are probably the best 1-2 punch of all-time, in my opinion!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
In terms of being a good movie as well as being a sequel - Godfather II or The Bourne Ultimatum!. Both sequels were absolutely fantastic extensions of their predecessor (or 'predecessors' plural for Bourne)!.
Now, in terms of a sequel being substantially better than the first of the series - Hostel Part II would win that award!. It may not have been a dynamite movie (as the other two were), but it vastly outshone the original!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

These two sequels are so good that they actually outshine the original or Part 1 of the story:
The runner-up is Spider Man 2!. Everything just works so beautifully esp!. that car that comes crashing through the window of the diner!. Unless 4 is a knockout they should have left it at #2!.
Godfather 2 is really a deeper more tragic view of that poor family than the first!. It's got everything in it: encroaching decadence, murders, betrayal and worst of all, fratricide!. Sometimes it is a little hard to follow; but if you stay with it, it is a more satisfying story than Godfather 1!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
