I liked the movie - it's always good to see an actor/actress do something off their beaten stardom path - refreshing for all!
It was not based on reality, but law enforcement does use psychics and other people with "successful abilities" to solve difficult cases - I find that fascinating!
If I were Vince I would have done the same thing -
