Question: In Forest Gump if Jenny had AIDS, than does Forest have it too!?

Jenny only says that she is sick and the doctors can't work out what is wrong with her!. The implication is that she has AIDS but only the audience knows that because, at that time in the movie (very early '80's) no one was sure what the disease was!.
However, they did know that it was transmitted via blood to blood contact as well as sexually because it was spreading through the gay and IV drug user populations at that time!. Therefore it is logical to assume that they practiced safe sex or didn't have sex at all after that point!. She died shortly after anyway so they probably didn't have much of a chance anyway!. Of course they must have had sex several years previously since she had Forrest Jr!. but that had to have been 7 or 8 years before and she could easily have gotten AIDS during the intervening time!. She was chasing the dragon pretty relentlessly in the 70's (and maybe sharing needles) and doing anyone in pants pretty much the whole movie so there was certainly plenty of opportunity!.
Anyway, even if they did have sex, he may not have caught it!. As previously mentioned, female to male infection rates via sex are far lower than vice versa!.

IF she did have AIDS, there are possibilities of not transmitting the disease during intercourse, although those are rare cases - and there are also different types of AIDS (a carrier or someone who is inffected with the disease)!.

It is harder for a man to catch it from a woman (though not impossible, I know)!. so I try to have an optimistic look at it!. plus, she could have manipulated him after they got married so they never had sex IF she knew it could be contracted that way!. she was trying to take care of her son, so she would have wanted to make damn sure he didn't catch it!.!.!.IF she knew, that is!.
