Question: Has anyone seen the film "The Mist"!?
Is this the most depressing film you have ever seen!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

SPOILERS SPOILERS!!!

The crazy religious freak runs the show, just like in real life, so that was depressing!.
The thing that ticked me off was the ending!. Basically, I never would have done what he did!. I would have looked for another vehicle or walked on from there!. And I would have rather fought the monsters with my bare hands than give up like that guy did!. So because of that I found it more stupid than depressing!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It isn't so depressing!. If you think about the ending in coherence with the theme of the rest of the movie, it seems a lot less grave!.

Let me refresh your memory!. The rest of the movie was basically about how when placed in a stressful, sometimes fatal, situation, by human nature, people will start to forget their beliefs and even succumb to human sacrifice in order to measure up to their peers in the eyes of God!. The ending basically states that all this leads to no good!.

However, in the novel of The Mist, this never happens!. The four people in the car hear the single word "Hartford," a town in Conneticut, reestablishing their hope and they keep on driving!. (That's how the story ends, with uncertainty, also somewhat cohesive with the theme of the story)Www@Enter-QA@Com

I might have found it depressing if I hadn't realized how stupid and manipulative it was!. Before the ending, I was recalling a couple of different Twilight Zone episodes that dealt with the theme of mob mentality and how the filmmakers had really just taken it to the next level!. "How much more contrived can this get!?" I asked myself!. Then that ending!. Oh, the false pathos! Yawn!. What a piece of junk!. Hey! the moral of the story is man should not mess with nature! Duh!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I thought it was an okay movie and at some parts it was a little scary and freaky but the ending was just too much for me!. Why did he have to kill everyone but himself!. He he waited just a little while help was on the way!. It was really depressing!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Not the most depressing, but it was up there!. However, the ending of the short story was ambiguous and while I didn't mind that, I'm glad there was a solid ending for the movie!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

ive seen the mist!. yes its the most depressing film ive ever seen! because in the end they thought they were alone so the man had to shot his OWN son and friends!. he tried shoting himself but there were no more bullet left!. then Army people came!. :(((((((((( that was pretty messed up!!!!!!!!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
