Question: Heath ledger doesn't deserve Oscar!?
No disrespect but their is a lot of buzz about the new batman movie and how heath ledger plays joker!. But seriously an oscar talk because he supposedly plays joker in a dark and sadistic way c'mon now!. I mean no disrespect to ledger but if he was alive no one would even nominate him for that oscar!. Movies like the Dark knight don't ever get nominated so why should it be different now it makes no sense!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Dude!.!.!. Where have you been!? I don't mean any disrespect either (to you or to Ledger), but this is the way Hollywood works! I haven't seen Dark Knight, and I always thought that Heath Ledger was a good actor, but as far as the Oscars go, they've always been political!. It's not always about who's the best, just look each year at who's country is in turmoil or who's been sick or who died or who hasn't had an award for a long time or whatever!. If someone isn't getting one, there's some political blackballing behind the scenes as to why they aren't getting it (no brown nosing or somebody ticked off the wrong person or somebody didn't hire somebody else's nephew!.!.!.)!.
I love movies, but all of the patting each other on each other's backs come award time!? I ignore it!. Besides, where's the award for the best plumber or the best construction worker or best administrative worker!? They don't care about us so why should we watch the best actors!?

As for the critics, they have already previewed the film, and from what has been written, it seems they like it!.
As for a film like the Dark Knight or super hero flicks, now most are terrible or NOT oscar -worthy!.
But that's the beauty of it, maybe it's time we break the mold!.
Give depth to something that people have taken oh so lightly!.
Even if the movie is a flop, IF Ledger's acting is unbelievable, then he's earned himself a nomination!.
I will not judge until I see the movie!.

How do you know this!? The pre-hype about him being up for an Oscar is no doubt due to his death, but we'll never know if it would have happened if he hadn't died!.

The Oscars are in-house BS!.!.Politricks are the key eg Annette Bening had no chance of an Oscar in "American Beauty" because she is married to Warren Beatty!.!.'a political agitator'!.!.or some such view held by elderly insiders and the influential moneyshakers!.!.Heath was a good actor!.!.and I've heard he is sensational as The Joker,but,he had a short canon of films and as such won't be remembered posthumously!.!.They'll probably remember "Brokeback Mountain"!.!.as humans do!.The Aussie film "Two Hands" is where you want to start watching Heath Ledger!. I watched a preview screening last night!. Let me tell you, it doesn't matter if Heath were alive or dead when this movie came out - he would be nominated for an Oscar!. His portrayal of the Joker was magnificent!. He portrayed him just like in the comics he is dark, psychotic and creepy, one of the best villains I have seen in a long time!. Go and watch it I assure you you will be eating your words!.
